Ha Long Bay is our first recommendation for things to do in Vietnam. The cluster of jagged limestone outcrops rising from the green sea makes the entire sight look like something out of Lord of the Rings. This area boasts an out-of-this-world environment, with over 2000 islands moulded over ages by natural processes. It is 130 kilometres east of Hanoi in northern Vietnam. There are several legends and myths associated with Ha Long Bay, but we will not reveal them now. Whether real or fake, this is one of our favourite activities in Vietnam.

A trip to Vietnam isn’t complete unless you see the historically significant archaeological site known as My Son. It is located near the Duy Ph hamlet on Vietnam’s central coast, where the Champa Kingdom built numerous temples between the 4th and 14th centuries devoted to the worship of the god Shiva in Hindu festivities. The Hindu Sanctuary My Son is an excellent specimen of the ancient Champa civilisation. Visiting the ruins of temples and towers, stone sculptures, and Hindu-themed ruins will bring the spirit of the past close to you and leave you with an unforgettable memory.

The architecture, enriched with traditional culture and way of life, speaks its own language that you will comprehend, making it a must-see destination.
